One of our families favorite weekend activities is hitting early morning garage sales on Saturday morning. My little 77-year-old mother does not like to go alone. She waits for me to visit and we go together and have so much fun.

Fortunately, my kids enjoy hitting the sales as well. They always have a bit of their own money to spend. It has been a good way for them to learn about money without breaking the bank since a dollar goes a long way there.
