Our visit to the orphanage is delayed.
I had planned to take all three kids and visit the orphanage today but darling son has a bit of a stomach bug. I don‘t know exactly what has caused it. The first thing to be suspected over here is any food or drink taken outside the home. He is the one who went out alone with me yesterday. We didn‘t eat or drink much which could cause a problem. We drank Lassi, which because it is a yogurt drink and because of the enzymes naturally present in yogurt I thought I had read it was usually not a problem. Sometimes they mix a bit of water with it and I don‘t know if that would then be a problem or not. The water here is not at all safe to drink and we are very careful to take either boiled or bottled. Darling son’s condition doesn’t seem to be too bad, but with the scarcity of bathrooms in India it is best not to leave the house with even a slight case of diarrhea if you don’t have to. We will plan our trip for another day.
