Our house now a home . . . we adopted a dog!

Our boy Clyde.

Finally our house is beginning to feel like home. To help the feeling along, we have adopted a dog.

I grew up with dogs and had dogs most of my adult life, but it has been over twelve years now since my last little dog died. I didn’t replace him immediately, then I married and had children and the time just never felt right again until now. Finally we are in our own home and finally the kids are getting old enough to know how to treat an animal and old enough they don’t need me as much as they did when they were small. Finally, I feel like I have time for a dog again.

Our dog, we call him Clyde, is a Basset Hound who we rescued from the DFW Humane Society. He’s a year or two old and he is adorable. :-) We love him already.
