Our unexpected return to California.

Thursday, September 1st, 2005

We left home headed east as planned; now we’re back home in California. We did not make it to Oklahoma. It’s a long story, but basically insurance on the van was about to expire. The insurance company had sent a notice that we needed to call them regarding a policy change. I thought I could take care of it with a phone call which I would make from the road so we headed out. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Because we had moved from Nebraska to California our current policy could not be converted. I needed new insurance and it could not be handled over the phone. We were already about six hours into our road trip when I called and had to turn around and go home. [Big sigh.]
