Beginning the Sequential Spelling program.
Sunday, February 5th, 2006Sequential Spelling is a program originally created for teaching dyslexic children to spell. I purchased it quite some time back but looked at it and decided it was too advanced for my kids at the time. That was probably a year ago. Now I think it may work for us so I have taken it down from the shelf and we have begun.
Sequential Spelling teaches spelling using word patterns. It is used on a daily basis and teaches about 25 words per day. There is no testing. You simply read out the word and allow them to spell it. If it is spelled incorrect, show them the correct spelling and move on.
