Schooling on the go in an RV.

October 11th, 2006

It looks like we’ll soon be on the road again!!

The kids and I moved from California to Texas in June. The plan was for the hubby to follow soon, however, plans have a way of changing. Shortly after we left dear hubby was offered a job at the competitor’s company . . . an offer he found too good to turn down. It’s one of those good new, bad news things. Yeah, it’s a good position, but I’d rather he be here. We don’t know how long he’ll stay so I’m not ready to move back. He flies back and forth every 2-3 weeks, but it’s hard on him, coming for only the weekend and rushing back and the hassels of all the extra security at airports and all. So we took that nice sign-on bonus he got and bought an older model motorhome. He’ll come here when he can. And we will go there when we can. We’re planning to spend December there as well as all next summer. And we’ll see where it goes from there.

The Lego First Junior Robotics club meets again.

October 4th, 2006

We held our second robotics club meeting today. Since two weeks ago I signed us up as a team and received our starter kit. The 2006 Challenge deals with Nanotechnology. They are expected to build the different views of an object. First would be of an object as we would see it with our own eyes. Second, an enlarged view like what might be seen through a microscope. And last would be at the nanometer level.

Where have I been lately?

September 30th, 2006

Have you noticed I’ve been a bit absent for a couple of weeks? Not only have I had a lot of family things going on which have kept me away, but I’ve also been busy working on creating a friend’s website and not getting much done on my own. Check out SoapyCreations.com to see what I’ve been doing.
